Los hospitales Quirónsalud Sagrado Corazón e Infanta Luisa de Sevilla presentan el proyecto 'Vida-on', con el que se mejora la calidad de vida de pacientes operadas de carcinoma de mama a través del ejercicio físico, con motivo del Día Mundial Contra el Cáncer de Mama, que se celebra este viernes, día 19 de octubre.

However, its full potential to help restore survivors' functional capacity, boost their quality of life and possibly even reduce the risk of recurrence has yet to be tapped. EU-funded researchers are looking into e-health solutions to take the technique another step further.

Oncology research remains a focus for many universities across the world, but University College Dublin (UCD) will now be leading a European effort to research new rehabilitation programmes for those who have experienced cancer.

University College Dublin to lead €2.1m connected health research programme
Research projects at the University College Dublin focused on technology's role in cancer rehabilitation, are to get access to €2.1 million of EU funding.
In total eight projects will be led by UCD Professor, and CATCH (Cancer Activating Technology in Connected Health) project co-ordinator, Professor Brian Caulfield.
